Tulsa Pipeline Incident Media Advisory

Magellan Pipeline Diesel Fuel Release Tulsa, Okla.

TULSA, Okla. – Around 3 p.m. central time, a Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. 12” pipeline originating near Magellan’s west Tulsa terminal was inadvertently struck by mechanized equipment working to install a new replacement section of pipeline. The pipeline that was struck was inactive at the time of the incident and contained diesel fuel. A diesel fuel release in the immediate area has occurred due to the incident. The operations of other Magellan pipelines in the area have been suspended as a safety precaution to protect our neighbors, the environment and our assets in the area. There have been no injuries, residential evacuations or road closures associated with the incident at this moment.

Magellan representatives, emergency responders and environmental clean-up crews are on site and all appropriate regulatory agencies have been notified. This segment of Magellan’s pipeline system provides transportation services for gasoline, diesel and jet fuel from Tulsa to destinations in Kansas and other mid-western states.

We will provide additional details in the near future.
